I like this story, i think it’s tells that people are unique and you could be friends to anyone (as long they’re not bad). I still don’t know what autism is.
  • Pretty great

This book is really cute. I like how they made a new character who has autism, and they don’t make it seem like it is a bad thing. It isn’t. Not how I grew up with Cookie Monster and Elmo. It’s a lot better

  • Elmo is really mean

He’s teaching someone with autism that “banana begins with the letter Z” and also Elmo is a bad role model for Julia because he knocks down block towers

I love this book so much and my kids love it too! It’s a beautiful story and I love the friendship theme as well. I’m so happy that Julia is a vibrant and excited child and that her differences are highlighted and not shown as weird or disturbing. She’s such a beautiful character. Well done!
