He’s uncovered a long-held family secret. She’s shocked to learn the truth—and to find herself caught between love and loyalty …

Colin Delaney’s wealthy family has been a Central Coast fixture for generations. When the Delaneys are rocked by the sudden death of Colin’s uncle, a shareholder in the family fortune, Colin learns something that throws all he'd thought he knew about the man into question.

Julia McCray knows that her brother, Drew, has been hiding something that’s been tearing him apart. The day Colin turns up on Julia’s doorstep, he reveals a secret that will throw both her world and his into turmoil. Her growing feelings for Colin are decidedly inconvenient—and will test her allegiance to her own family.

Story was good worth reading. Family life to me seemed a little cool a lot of drama but was written well would recommend reading. I enjoy reading the reviews but how a book cover is presented is also extremely important.

I loved reading this story about an unknown family member of a large empire. How he is found, the romance between in step-sister and the lawyer of the family is something of a dream.
  • A long cool rain

    By yellville
Brothers vying for the love of one woman is a challenging situation. Add great wealth and a history of conflict and a happy outcome seems impossible

Well written. Love story with depth. Quite a bit of humor, too.
  • Family secrets

    By 1Alannah
This love story between Colin and Julia had several different twist and turns. Family dynamics on both sides played into their love story. Linda Seed showed that in the end Julia was a strong woman who stood up and took what she wanted. This promises to be an interesting series.
  • “A Long, Cool Rain”

    By J. O'Farrell
“A Long, Cool Rain” by Linda Seed is one of those contemporary novels that the reader just can’t stop reading. The characters are so well developed, so realistic and down to earth that one really can identify with them. The plot, too, is exciting and examines relationships from every angle. Hopefully more novels with these same, memorable characters will be created! -Jan Farrell Repath
