Years of bad luck have made Logan Pierce a little bitter, but it all goes from bad to worse the night she witnesses two immortal beings rip a man’s head off with their bare hands.
Her life is wrecked overnight by a single man—Cyrus, who seems to think she’s someone important in his bloody world. But they won’t know the truth until she’s dead, and he’s very anxious to help her get there.
But Logan isn’t going down without a fight. She makes him a deal. She will die, but first he must spend a month getting to know her, a month to change his mind. What she doesn’t expect is a month filled with displays of incredible wealth, spontaneous trips across the country, and unbelievable acts of immortal power. And as Logan spends her last days with Cyrus, she stops seeing the monster and begins to see a lonely, broken man she can’t walk away from. If she isn’t careful, it won’t just be her life she loses at the end of the month, but her heart as well...
Crown of Death is a new standalone series set in the House of Royals world.  It is not necessary to have read the House of Royals Saga to start this series.

  • Good but not good enough to buy the next one

Ends in a cliffhanger. (spoiler) I don’t like that the Cyrus was just looking for his first wife the whole time.
  • Great Vampire Book

The title is quite good and does a rather long introduction to the whole new world itself. The book is really contagious and one a fee sentences are read - there is no stopping.

This is a really good book. I just don’t like the way it ended. I would love to read the rest of the story but the other books in the series cost more than I usually spend. Too bad it doesn’t come in a set.

Great story, but errors in the book from incorrect pronouns to typos sometimes made reading difficult. Obviously no proof read or edit.

Story has so many twists it is impossible to guess the ending. The term “star crossed lovers” doesn’t begin to tell the story. Be prepared to spend a long night because it’s impossible to put down.....definitely worth reading. April H. In Jacksonville, Fl

I can say with absolute certainty I will be getting the next book! Would have hoped for a little more “acidness” on her part but the story was great none the less. Good characters, great story!

This book is the first in a new series that is an off-shoot of the House of Royals series. Logan’s life is slowly falling apart, and she doesn’t know how she can fix it. One night, after witnessing a supernatural death, Logan is plunged into the world of vampires, one in which she finds out she will become one and her human problems seem so trivial. Cyrus, the king of vampires, is anxious to end Logan’s mortal life so she can begin her immortal one, but Logan knows he’s hiding something. So, she bargains with him: give her a month to let her say goodbye to her human life and to get to know him, and him her. But what he’s hiding could break her heart. O.M.G.! This book just blew me away, so much so I think it’s the best one Ms. Taylor has ever written. I know Cyrus from the other series, but this one just made me ache for him, make me feel so sorry for him, and I never thought I’d do that. And, of course, there was great writing, a terrific plot, and of course, that ending! I read this whole book in one day at work because I just couldn’t put it down. Thank goodness we weren’t busy at work so I could read it! I am chomping at the bit to read the next one because I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. You don’t need to have read the original series to read this one, but I think it would enhance this one if you did. I can’t recommend this enough! Thanks to the author for the e-copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
