After coming from The Age of Surveillance Capitalism and hooked: How To Build Habit Forming Products, Dr. Fogg’s book and model is a refreshing baseline understanding of what makes our modern information economy accessible to anyone and everyone with a voice, a device, and an internet connection. The only question is what do you do? Whatever the most important question in your field is, or your life is, this book will change your life for the better and strongly be a part of your success. The modern struggle is fighting weaponized addiction. Dr. Fogg’s other work includes helping people use screens less. Unless you understand how the attention economy works, it’s unlikely you will ever be rich, or ever use a screen productively to achieve your goals or reach a peaceful state. You need to read the book.

Simple, but revolutionary approach to changing and establishing behavior, battle-tested and based on scientific research. The first thing BJ does is sweep away all the shoulds & judgements we punish ourselves with around our failures to change or do the things we want to do in our lives, and re-frames the process with small yet pivotal steps, and the knowledge that it’s practicing with the process that is the key, and not the amount of moral fiber we may or may not have. If you’re interested in making changes in your life through joy & celebration, and letting go of the idea that it needs to be difficult, Tiny Habits is the manual we all need.

Of all the self-help books I’ve read on a quest to be my best self, what’s shared in this book is WHAT WORKS and has worked for me personally. I discovered what I loved to do using the information shared in this book and now I do it consistently—and I’m happier and healthier now, at 35, than ever before. When you learn this system, you can design for anything you want in your life. This is what works.
  • THE Guide To Building Successful Habits

BJ Fogg, behavior scientist at Stanford, has finally written the book that has been many years in the making. He explains how our habit’s success is not about willpower or amping up motivation or some arbitrary 21-day duration, but rather it is about choosing habits you actually want, making them very easy to do by scaling them back - especially at first - and celebrating small victories to wire them in. With lots of personal stories, BJ gives context and richness to this informative and encouraging how-to guide. Truly a must-read for people who want to maximize their potential.
  • The new science of behavior change!

I found BJ's work a few years ago when I was searching for a concrete, practical guide to changing behavior. I've been a fitness trainer for over a decade and mastering his work was the first time I could truly help my clients with severe nutritional or wellness behavior challenges outside of the exercise setting. It has been one of the most beautiful and eye opening experiences in my professional career. It’s wonderful to now have all his research together in one book! The examples and diagrams, some of which I had never seen before, are powerful tools of understanding behavior in a simple no nonsense fashion. Important note: This book highlights a skill set. It’s not a quick fix book. Once you read the book, the mastery is no where close to being complete. However, you can't become an expert in behavior change for your life or others if you don't know how the game is played. The information in this book taught me the powerful science to changing habits for good over time and allowed me the opportunity to start mastering it for life. A must read for anyone looking to understand the core mechanics of sustainable behavior change.
