Description

The Empire is at war and the stakes have never been higher in the third book of the Inheritance Cycle, perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings! This New York Times bestselling series has sold over 35 million copies and is an international fantasy sensation.

Oaths sworn . . . loyalties tested . . . forces collide.

Eragon is the greatest hope to rid the land of tyranny. Can this once simple farm boy unite the rebel forces and defeat the king? Following the colossal battle against the Empire's warriors, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have narrowly escaped with their lives. Still, there is more adventure at hand for the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by a tangle of promises he may not be able to keep.

When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes from every corner, Eragon must make choices-choices that will take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.

Features interlocking art that reveals an image across the spines of all four books! And don’t miss the most recent book set in Eragon's world, The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm: Tales from Alagaësia!

"Christopher Paolini is a true rarity." --The Washington Post

This book made me feel like I was part of a whole new world! I wonder why it was never turned into a major motion picture. Can’t wait to read to next in the series.

The book is very good! I have seen many reviews that say Christopher’s style of writing is too long winded and over explanatory, however it is FULLY needed to give the depth and lore needed to really enjoy the book. 10/10 read!

Christopher Paolini's ever graceful style of writing has gotten me in its clutches for the THIRD TIME! I read Eragon and Eldest already and am nearly done with Brisingr. As soon as I finished Eragon (which took me like, 2 days) I went and bought Eldest. When I finished that I immediately bought Brisingr. Now I will buy Inheritance as soon as I complete Brisingr. And after that, I will punch the people who made the Eragon movie.

This was a great book!! I read the first two of the Eragon series in book form and to have the third right on my phone wherever I go is great!! It is so worth the $10!! Reading the fourth, Inheritance, and supposedly that one is good but it had a bad cliff-hanging ending. Good luck reading!

This book was way to long.it was filled with so much pointless detail about little things like weather. It only had about 4 or 5 interesting scenes.
  • The best

This book is part of the best series I have ever read. If you are even reading this review and looking about this book think no more and read. It brings you on one of the best adventures ever made and leaves you with some withdrawal once you have finished the series.

I've to be completely honest, I am 14 years old and as you people know 14 year olds DO NOT READ. Well I don't know why but one day I said "hey this cover of this book looks kinda cool" I just bought Eragon as a DECORATION! One day on summer break, I was alone in my house with absolutely nothing to do. There was no internet and I still didn't have a phone to use or text or call or whatever. So I just took the book and started reading. The first part about the Shades and stuff I completely didn't understand, so I closed the book and went to have a snack and came back, and I thought, "hey, I've nothing to do, this is better than nothing" So I got to the part where Saphira hatches and I just COULDNT stop, now I'm on Brisingr, and I'm liking it a lot. In fact, I'm loving it. So yeah give it a try, i liked it and I don't read. If you are a book persone I'm sure you wont regret it. And I thank YOU Mr. Paolini for making such a good story.
